2,6 M€ investment in Lisbon

EDP Distribuição invests 2.6 M € in Lisbon's high voltage grid. The work will be phased and will be carried out during 24 months.

EDP Distribuição will invest 2.6 million euros in an essential work to the development of the city of Lisbon, which will strengthen the grid's operating capacity and ensure the use of resources in the western and central areas of the city, with high gains in quality service.

The work starts on May 27, at Rua António Gonçalves, in the parish of Penha de França and will end at Largo Vitorino Damásio, in the parish of Estrela.

During the period of execution of the work, which is expected to be carried out in 24 months, EDP Distribuição will proceed with the placement of two High Voltage electrical circuits in the subsoil of the highways of the city of Lisbon, as well as a optical cable that will allow the remote control of these same circuits.

The intervention will be carried out in sections between 8.00 and 17.00, although in specific cases it can be done during the weekend or at night and will not jeopardize the supply of electricity, so the normal operation of the network will be entirely ensured.

EDP Distribuição and the City Council of Lisbon will always try to find the best solutions to minimize the impact of this work with the residents.
