E-REDES has installed three new transformer substations (PTD) in the union of parishes of Ponte da Barca, Vila Nova de Muía and Paço Vedro Magalhães, in the parish of Lavradas and in the parish of Vade (S. Pedro), in the municipality of Ponte da Barca.
The infrastructures with a combined power of 300 kVA and medium voltage (MV) branches 600 meters long, which are already in operation, were inaugurated on 23 October in the presence of Francisco Campilho and Silvia Moita, representatives of E-REDES, Augusto Marinho, Mayor of Ponte da Barca, César Castro, a technician from Ponte da Barca Town Council, Hélder Soares, chairman of Lavradas parish council and Rui Gomes from Vade (S. Pedro) parish council.
The low voltage (LV) network in the areas was reinforced over an approximate length of 1,300 meters, resulting in better network management. The work will reinforce the quality of service in the area, provide the network with greater capacity and resilience, and guarantee the availability of power to meet new electricity demands for the areas in question.
For E-REDES, this work, carried out in close collaboration with the municipality of Ponte da Barca, is part of its policy of optimizing quality of service and energy efficiency, the result of the company's commitment to the municipality.
