E-REDES reaffirms its commitment to supporting the training of young people in the context of the energy transition with the inauguration of the new Electrical Networks Training Park, the result of a partnership between E-REDES and EDS (Eletrificadora Douro Sul), at the Latino Coelho Secondary School in Lamego.
The Park's inauguration ceremony was attended by Ângelo Sarmento (director of E-REDES), Luís Sérgio Quinteira (advisor to the MV and LV Asset Service Department (DSAN) and the school's E-REDES tutor), Francisco Lopes (Mayor of Lamego), and José Martins Rocha (Director of the School Group).
This project, part of the "Incluir para Iluminar" program, represents an important step in the preparation of young people attending the Electrical Network Technician course - a necessary requirement to join the energy sector after completing the 12th grade. In addition to the future implementation of a medium-voltage network, the park has been equipped with electric poles, distribution cabinets, aerial and underground cabling.
There are currently 125 high school students from 9 schools benefiting from the "Incluir para Iluminar" program. This support provides for the formal appointment of tutors from the Organization who are responsible for solving challenges in the schools, speeding up solutions and preparing the students for the 600 hours of internship guaranteed by E-REDES.
