E-REDES donates seven generators to Ukraine

Equipment will help to keep essential facilities in the country running.

E-REDES, in partnership with the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC), has sent seven generators to Ukraine.

The equipment, which is scheduled to arrive by land on February 20th, was provided by several of the company's Maintenance Areas, and will help keep several essential facilities in Ukraine functioning, such as hospitals, schools and other infrastructures whose electricity grid was damaged by the attacks.

This initiative resulted from the partnership between E-REDES and the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC) and under the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism.

The moment of sending the generators was attended by a representative of the Ukrainian Embassy in Portugal, José Manuel Duarte da Costa, President of ANEPC, and Miguel Santos, responsible for the Service Department of the Medium and Low Voltage Assets South of E-REDES.

In April last year, E-REDES, together with E-REDES Spain, also sent four trucks with 30 tons of electrical material and equipment to Ukraine. The objective of these initiatives is to contribute to minimizing the harmful effects of the armed conflict on the local populations.
