Energy restored to consumers affected by Fabien

EDP Distribuição guarantees the supply of energy to all consumers affected by Fabien.

The Fabien depression caused significant damage to the electricity grid, especially in the districts of Vila Real and Viseu. As a result of the intensive work of EDP Distribuição's operational teams, all incidents relating to medium and high voltage were overcome, either by repairing the lines or by using generators, or mobile power stations, in the most complex situations.

The work of the EDP Distribuição teams will continue in the coming days in the consolidation of the repairs already made, as well as in the identification and resolution of power supply failures in Low Voltage. The company believes that, by the end of today, all situations resulting from the Fabien depression will be overcome.

The evolution that has taken place is due to the work of the many operatives on the ground and the commitment of all the entities with whom the company has collaborated, namely Local Authorities and Civil Protection. In the current recovery phase of the Low Voltage Network, the importance of reporting anomalies in which EDP Distribuição provides its Contact Centre - 800 506 506 and its mobile application (APP).
