E-REDES seeks to prevent or reduce the production of waste, contributing where possible to its recovery and to the reduction of risks to human health and the environment.

In addition to responsible management, we seek to be more efficient by using assessment techniques, such as the Lifecycle Analysis of our products, from their purchase to their disposal. This technique enables an assessment of whether processes are economically viable and the identification of alternative solutions that minimise impacts and reduce resource consumption, increasing process efficiency and sustainability.

Oil spills are one of the main environmental impacts associated with E-REDES' activity. They can result from breakdowns, acts of vandalism or theft of transformers that are in service on the network or parked on company premises.

Procedures in the event of an oil spill vary depending on the amount of oil spilled, the location where it occurs and its danger to human health and the environment. These procedures are vital to trigger the necessary clean-up actions quickly and effectively.

In addition to these procedures, we focus on the systematic training and mobilisation of our employees, in close liaison, coordination and cooperation with the competent external entities.
