Air and Noise
E-REDES invests in the prevention, mitigation and control of noise and of greenhouse gases generated in the course of its activity.
Noise
The World Health Organization (WHO) considers that during the daytime, outdoor ambient noise should be below 55 dB near residential buildings. At night, to avoid sleep disturbance, ambient noise inside dwellings should not exceed 30 dB.
E-REDES infrastructures may produce disturbing noise for those living or staying in places where the effects of these noise sources are felt.
Based on the applicable legal requirements in force, we ensure the implementation of measures that prevent, control and minimise the noise emitted by our facilities.
In this sense, we have a set of recommendations for noise management and control, which are essentially reflected in the choice of the location of infrastructures and solutions in the design phase (acoustic insulation and construction of acoustic barriers).
