E-REDES has installed a new transformer substation (PTD) that will serve the parishes of Cabanelas, Vila de Prado and Oleiros, in the municipality of Vila Verde. The infrastructure, with 250 kVA of power and a medium voltage (MV) branch 300 metres long, which is already in operation, was inaugurated on 18 September in the presence of Miguel Pinto and Joaquim Cerqueira, representatives of E-REDES, and Júlia Fernandes, Mayor of Vila Verde, Patrício Araújo, Vila Verde Councillor and Albano Bastos, Chairman of the Vila de Prado Parish Council.
The low voltage (LV) network in the areas was reinforced over an approximate 50 metre stretch, allowing for better network management. The work, which represented an investment of around 25,000 euros, will reinforce the quality of service in the area, provide the network with greater capacity and resilience and guarantee the availability of energy to respond to new electricity requests for the areas in question.
For E-REDES, this work, carried out in close collaboration with the municipality of Vila Verde, is part of its policy of optimising quality of service and energy efficiency, as a result of the company's commitment to the municipality.
