E-REDES joined forces with the Viana do Castelo City Council to carry out public lighting works at the Santa Luzia Staircase, as well as improvements to the Tílias Park and the access to the Pousada de Santa Luzia.
The infrastructures, built by E-REDES using armatures and the appropriate permits provided by the municipality, were inaugurated on 13 August by the Mayor of Viana do Castelo, Luís Nobre, the representatives of E-REDES Miguel Pinto and Paulo Louzinha, and the representative of the Confraternity of Santa Luzia, Rita Pereira. The new lighting will come into operation in time for the Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Agony, which takes place between 14 and 22 August.
With an estimated investment of 50,000 euros, the work significantly strengthens the lighting along the entire length of the stairway leading to the Monument of Santa Luzia, one of the most visited places in Viana do Castelo. They also illuminate the entire Parque das Tílias and the access to the Pousada de Santa Luzia, whose public lighting has also been improved with LED technology.
This partnership and close collaboration with Viana do Castelo City Council is part of E-REDES' policy of optimising service quality and energy efficiency, and is the result of the company's strong commitment to the municipality.
