E-REDES installs two new transformer substations in Ponte de Lima

An investment of 145,000 euros will strengthen the quality of service in the municipality.

E-REDES has installed two new transformer substations in the parishes of Fontão (Travessa do Cardal) and Labruja (Vinha Velha) in the municipality of Ponte de Lima.

The infrastructures, with a combined power of 260 kVA and medium-voltage branches 1,000 metres long, which are already in operation, were inaugurated on August 8 in the presence of Francisco Campilho, Miguel Pinto, Rui Passos, Luis Torre, representatives of E-REDES and Vasco Ferraz, Mayor of Ponte de Lima, Carlos Lago, Councillor of Ponte de Lima Town Council, Manuel Velho, Mayor of Fontão and José Nunes, Mayor of Labruja.

The low-voltage network in the areas was reinforced over an approximate length of 1,400 metres, resulting in better network management.

The work, which represented an investment of around 145,000 euros, will reinforce the quality of service in the area, provide the network with greater capacity and resilience, and guarantee the availability of power to meet new electricity demands for the areas in question.

For E-REDES, this work, carried out in close collaboration with the municipality of Ponte de Lima, is part of its policy of optimising quality of service and energy efficiency, as a result of the commitment we have made to the municipality.
