E-REDES has installed two new transformer posts in the parishes of Póvoa de Lanhoso (Nossa Senhora do Amparo) and Geraz do Minho in the municipality of Póvoa de Lanhoso.
The infrastructures, with a combined power of 790 kVA and 250 metre-long medium-voltage branches, which are already in operation, were inaugurated on 17 July in the presence of Francisco Campilho, Miguel Pinto, João Rego, Tiago Oliveira, representatives of E-REDES, Frederico Castro, Mayor of Póvoa de Lanhoso and Sergio Matos of Póvoa de Lanhoso Town Council, and the mayor of Geraz do Minho, Francisco Joel Silva.
The low-voltage network in the areas was reinforced over an approximate length of 120 metres, resulting in better network management.
The works, which represented an investment of around 100,000 euros, will reinforce the quality of service in the area, provide the network with greater capacity and resilience, and guarantee the availability of power to satisfy new electricity requests for the areas in question.
For E-REDES, this work, carried out in close collaboration with the municipality of Póvoa de Lanhoso, is part of its policy of optimising quality of service and energy efficiency, the result of the company's commitment to the municipality.
