E-REDES installs new transformer substation in Vizela

An investment of 105,000 euros will strengthen the quality of service in the municipality.

E-REDES has installed a new transformer substation (PTD) in the parish of Caldas de Vizela in the municipality of Vizela.

The infrastructures with a combined power of 250 kVA and medium voltage (MV) branches 1100 meters long, which are already in operation, were inaugurated on June 20 in the presence of Vitor Hugo Salgado, Mayor of Vizela, Nuno Faria, Councillor of the Vizela City Council, Francisco Campilho, Miguel Pinto, João Rego, Vitor Oliveira, representatives of E-REDES, José Armando Branco, President of the S. Miguel de Caldas de Vizela Parish Council and Xavier Freitas, President of the S. Miguel de Caldas de Vizela Parish Council. Miguel das Caldas de Vizela and Xavier de Freitas, President of the Confraternity of S. Bento das Peras.

The low voltage (LV) network in the area was reinforced over an approximate length of 500 meters, resulting in better network management. The work, which represented an investment of around 105,000 euros, will reinforce the quality of service in the area, provide the network with greater capacity and resilience, while also guaranteeing the availability of power to satisfy new requests for electricity for the growing dynamism of the area in question, the Sanctuary of S. Bento das Peras.
