We have started applications for the Donate to Protect social investment program. In 2024 we will be raffling off 12 vehicles from our fleet - six cars and six pick-ups - that are in good condition and donating them to institutions that support the community, as well as those that carry out activities related to forest protection, clearing vegetation and reforestation.
The application form is available on the program's website, as is the regulation that defines the rules that must be followed in order for an institution to apply. All municipalities, institutions and social organizations, such as firefighters, environmental associations, charities, IPSS, sports, recreational and cultural associations, among others, located in mainland Portugal, are eligible to apply.
The selection process begins by assessing how the organization fits into the Donate to Protect program, and only applications made within the deadlines stipulated in the regulations, between June 3 and September 6, will be considered. Approval of applications also requires that the entity applying has not benefited from the donation of any vehicle in the last three years under this initiative.
Once the phase of confirming the eligibility of applications is over, the draws will take place to determine the institutions that will benefit from this donation. There will be a total of six draws, divided between light vehicles and pick-ups, two for each region of the country, north, center and south. Each organization will only be awarded once, for a better and more equitable distribution among the candidates.
This program began in 2015 and by 2023 we had delivered 117 vehicles from the north to the south of the country.
