We have started a new cycle of continuous contracts for the execution of fuel management strips and protection zones for a period of two years. The new contracts now signed estimate an investment of 19 million a year, with ten suppliers for the various lots covering 179,000 kilometers of high and medium voltage electricity network.
This new contract reinforces the qualification criteria of the companies with which we have signed the new contracts, with a set of certifications guaranteeing compliance with good sustainability and environmental quality practices. Among the certifications presented by the companies are the ISO Standards for Quality Management, Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety Management, which ensures commitment to the quality of the service provided, the preservation of the environment and safety, a clear priority for E-REDES.
Carlos Gil Lda, Ecorede, Floresta Bem Cuidada, Floponor, Perene, Silvexplor, Synerg, Trafober, joined by ATIV - Mota/Engil and Ecoambiente, are among the suppliers of the new E-REDES continuous contract for the execution of strips.
As part of the National Forest Fire Protection System, we have contributed to the creation of fuel management strips next to high and medium voltage power lines, in strategic locations previously defined in the Municipal Forest Fire Protection Plans, with owners obliged to allow access to the property.
