GridWise is an innovative platform that emerged in 2023 and brings together various initiatives for monitoring and controlling low-voltage (LV) electricity grids using cutting-edge technology. With the application of artificial intelligence, IoT, Big Data and Edge Computing for real-time data analysis, this platform offers an innovative approach to managing electricity grids.
This tool is revolutionizing low-voltage network management by making it possible to analyse large volumes of electricity consumption data, as well as highly complex trends and operating patterns. This makes it possible to detect and act more quickly and proactively in the event of a fault, as well as to identify anomalous power quality situations and network losses in good time, including those due to theft or fraud.
At the moment, its contribution to increasing the efficiency and safety of E-REDES' operations is very visible, with an impact on improving the Technical Service Quality Indicators, reducing the time it takes to identify the cause and location of faults, as well as the time it takes for teams to act in the field.
This platform has also contributed to a better understanding of low-voltage electricity distribution with an impact on the sustainability of this activity (Co2 footprint), reducing energy losses and thus minimizing the environmental impact by making better use of the energy produced.
