E-REDES has installed three new transformer substations (PTD) in the parishes of Freiriz, Cabanelas and Turiz in the municipality of Vila Verde.
The work, with an investment of around 150,000 euros, will reinforce the quality of service in the area, provide the network with greater capacity and resilience, as well as guaranteeing the availability of power to respond to new requests for electricity in the areas in question.
The infrastructures with a combined power of 360 kVA and Medium Voltage (MV) branches of 500 meters in length, already in operation and with a direct impact on around 120 customers, were inaugurated on January 29 in the presence of Júlia Fernandes, Mayor of Vila Verde, Patricio Araujo, Councillor of Vila Verde City Council, Francisco Campilho, Miguel Pinto and Joaquim Cerqueira, representatives of E-REDES.
The low voltage (LV) network in the area was reinforced over an approximate length of 1300 meters, which involved the installation/replacement of 18 LV supports, and resulted in better network management.
This work, carried out in close collaboration with the municipality of Vila Verde, is part of E-REDES' policy of optimizing quality of service and energy efficiency, resulting from the company's commitment to the municipality.
