E-REDES' Analytics4Vegetation project was the winner of the Digital with Purpose Global Award, a prize awarded at the closing ceremony of the Digital with Purpose Global Summit, which aims to highlight and promote digital solutions that respond to human needs, reduce poverty, increase inclusion and protect nature.
The project has developed a solution that identifies the necessary interventions in the network with greater precision and thus reduces the risk of contact between the network and the surrounding vegetation, maintaining the integrity of the forest areas.
With an investment of 250,000 euros and launched in 2021, Analytics4Vegetation has been operational and at the service of vegetation management along High and Medium Voltage (HV and MV) lines since 2022 and has won several awards.
The Digital with Purpose Global Award was technically evaluated by the Wuppertal Institute, an international reference organization for research into sustainable practices, which then submitted its top 3 to a panel of judges who chose the winning proposal.
To participate, companies had to present a digital solution that contributed to at least one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), was deployed in the market and provided a specific solution that was efficient in terms of resources and costs.
Digital with Purpose brought together 300 national and international leaders at the Altice Arena in Lisbon for three days, with the aim of putting innovation and digital solutions at the heart of the sustainability agenda and sustainability at the heart of the digital agenda.
