E-REDES installs three new transformer substations in Monção

Investment of 120 thousand euros will strengthen the quality of service in the municipality.

E-REDES has installed three new transformer substations (PTD) in the parishes of Lara, Parada and Merufe in the municipality of Monção.

The infrastructures with a combined power of 300 kVA and with medium voltage (MV) branches of 300 meters in length, already in operation, were inaugurated on July 4 with the presence of Francisco Campilho, Miguel Pinto, representatives of E-REDES and António Barbosa, Mayor of Monção.

The low voltage (LV) network in the areas was reinforced over an approximate length of 600 meters, implying the installation / replacement of 10 LV supports, thus resulting in better network management.

The works, which represented an investment of around 120,000 euros, will reinforce the quality of service in the area, provide the network with greater capacity and resilience, and also guarantee the availability of power to satisfy new requests for electricity for the areas concerned.

For E-REDES, this procedure in close collaboration with the municipality of Monção is part of its policy of optimizing the quality of service and energy efficiency, resulting from the commitment that the company made to the municipality.
