Government approves investment plan of 550 million for the national distribution network

The PDIRD-E 2020 (2023-2025) update had received a favorable opinion from ERSE in January of this year.

The government has approved the update proposed by E-REDES for the electricity distribution network development and investment plan (PDIRD-E) for the period 2023-2025, amounting to 550 million euros.

In January this year, the plan update had already received a favorable opinion from the Energy Sector Regulatory Authority (ERSE), and has now received final approval from the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate, Ana Fontoura Gouveia, according to an order signed on May 26.

The plan in question is an update of the PDIRD-E of 2020, for the period 2023 to 2025.

According to the new Electricity System Framework Law, published in 2022, the E-REDES investment plans must be reviewed every five years and subject to updates in each even year.
