E-REDES starts today the operation of the new Lanheses substation, located in the municipality of Viana do Castelo, and respective high (HV) and medium voltage (MV) grids, electrical infrastructures with an estimated investment of 2.4 million euros, which will supply around 3.9 thousand residential customers and 25 business customers.
The new substation, which will have an initial installed power of 20 MVA, is accompanied by the construction of the HV network, which will feed the substation and the entire new MV network, which will interconnect to the existing one.
For the construction of this substation and electricity distribution network, in addition to the entire internal structure involved in the management and implementation of this project, E-REDES relied on the involvement of several business partners.
These new infrastructures are part of the Company's policy of investment and maintenance in the electricity grid, with the main axes being the improvement in the supply of electrical energy and the increase in grid resilience. The substation, in this particular case, is located in the Lanheses Business Park and thus assumes a key role in ensuring the supply and quality of energy to the various companies located there.
