European Projects: First Interconnect workshop for customers in Santarém

Interconnect is a European project, funded by the European Union, whose main objective is to facilitate the participation of consumers' energy resources in the energy transition through interoperability between devices, aggregators and networks.

The Portuguese pilot project, led by E-REDES, will test various technologies in 5 cities (Santarém, Guarda, Évora, Braga and Porto) where it has elected a group of citizens to participate in the demonstration.

Within the scope of the demonstrator, some workshops aimed at clients are planned, in order to bring the project closer to the community and develop a social impact study.

The first presentation event took place in Santarém, on December 15, at the E-REDES facilities, and had about 15 participants, divided into three sessions. Other initiatives are planned for the remaining locations.

The participants had the opportunity to get to know the team and scope of the project, as well as to clarify some doubts and to fill out the first of three questionnaires on energy management and energy efficiency in their homes that will serve as a basis for the study.

These events are directly linked to initiative 9.3 of the Interconnect project.
