These innovative ideas and solutions improve the lives of many people, help protect the environment and make European industry more sustainable and competitive.
Interconnect Project
InterConnect is the name of the European project that will give you access to a platform that allows you to manage smart home appliances. Our main objective is to make the electricity sector digital, connected and more efficient.
In Portugal we will test several technologies in Braga, Porto, Guarda, Santarém and Évora, covering around 300 households.
Customer engagement has been carried out since the beginning of March, through door-to-door actions in the chosen locations.
Customers eligible to participate will benefit from an Energy Management System in their homes, which will allow them to manage the smart home appliances that the Interconnect project will make available, free of charge, in limited numbers, such as dishwashers and washing machines.
E-REDES leads the residential pilot whose main objectives are:
- Explore several energy services for households, buildings, and energy communities.
- Explore interoperable digital platforms for cloud-based energy and non-energy services, as well as hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Validate and make the data exchange platforms and interfaces more flexible within the Distribution Network Operators (DSO) infrastructure and demonstrate the potential for a wider adoption across Europe.
