E-REDES carried out two interventions in the municipality of Sintra, in order to strengthen the quality of service in the area. The interventions consisted in the construction of a new Medium Voltage (MV) line, installed in the Godigana area, in the Parish Union of S. João das Lampas and Terrugem, and in the remodelling of an electric line, which crossed the railway, next to Apeadeiro do Sabugo, in the Parish of Almargem do Bispo. In this second intervention, whose works are still in progress, the teams are installing more than 200 meters of underground cable and two new poles.
The work also includes the dismantling of about 300 meters and the passage of more than 700 meters of overhead line.
These two interventions represented an investment of 50 thousand euros.
The construction of this new MV line also involved the placement of five new MV poles, the installation of a new overhead transformer station and the construction of another two kilometres of overhead line.
Thus, the Company continues to invest and innovate in the modernization of its infrastructure, in order to optimize its services and contribute to the development of the regions.
