E-REDES replaces luminaries with LED technology in Caminha

E-REDES is finishing the installation of 60 LED luminaires in the parish of Vila Praia de Âncora, in Caminha, more specifically in the northern area of Avenida 5 de Outubro.

In the last five years, about 3,500 new LED lights have been installed in the various parishes of the municipality of Caminha, in an investment of about 420 thousand Euros.

The definition of the locations for the replacement of the luminaries was carried out in partnership with the Caminha City Hall and covered the Parish Unions of Argas, Caminha and Vilarelho, Gondar and Orbacém, Venade and Azevedo, Moledo and Cristelo, as well as the Parishes of Dem, Âncora, Argela, Lanhelas, Vila Praia de Âncora, Seixas, Vile, Riba de Âncora and Vilar de Mouros.

By concluding the installation of this significant number of LED luminaires, E-REDES guarantees the reinforcement of the quality of public lighting that it provides to the municipality's population, as well as the reduction of 252 tons of CO2/year, allowing the reduction of electric energy consumption and consequently the ecological footprint.

It was a work developed in close collaboration with the municipality of Caminha and that stems from the commitment that E-REDES assumed with the municipality.

By 2022, this partnership is expected to continue, with the replacement of more luminaries spread throughout several streets and avenues of the municipality's parishes.
