E-REDES renews public lighting in Guimarães

E-REDES concluded the remodelling of public lighting on the Guimarães Urban Bypass, modernising one of the city's main road sections and its access nodes.

As part of this intervention, 391 conventional mercury vapour and sodium vapour luminaires were replaced with LED luminaires, as well as part of the associated support infrastructure.
The work, carried out last December, represented an investment of about 80 thousand euros and was supported by the Guimarães City Hall, namely in obtaining the license to occupy the public road and in ensuring the presence of on-site police. This intervention was highly complex due to the road's constraints, and it was necessary to use an external company specialized in signalling to ensure the correct delimitation of the work zone.

Thanks to this upgrading, it was possible to improve the lighting of this road, which consists of four lanes of traffic, with clear gains in terms of safety and energy efficiency.
E-REDES thus continues to invest and innovate in the modernization of infrastructures, in order to optimize services and contribute to the development of the regions.
