E-REDES invests 2.4 million euros in Lanheses

E-REDES has started the works within the scope of the project for the construction of the new Lanheses substation and respective high (HV) and medium voltage (MV) network, electrical infrastructures with an estimated investment of 2.4 million euros, which will supply around 3.9 thousand residential customers and 25 business customers. The construction of the new Lanheses substation, an E-REDES infrastructure that will integrate the national electrical system, has already started and is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. At this moment, the substation platform is being prepared and the foundations of the control building are being concreted.

For the construction of this substation and electricity distribution network, in addition to the entire internal structure involved in the management and completion of this project, E-REDES will have the involvement of several business partners. Besides the new substation, which will have an initial installed power of 20 MVA, the HV network will also be built, which will feed the substation and the entire new MV network, which will interconnect to the existing one.
These new infrastructures are part of the Company's policy of investment and maintenance of the electrical network, with the main axes being the improvement in the supply of electrical energy and the increase in network resilience. The substation, in this particular case, is located in the Lanheses Business Park and thus assumes a key role in guaranteeing the supply and quality of energy to the various companies located there.
