OneNet publishes paper on the Western Demonstrator

The OneNet project aims to create the conditions for a new generation of network services capable of fully exploiting demand response, storage and distributed generation while creating fair, transparent and open conditions for the consumer.

As part of the European project, in which E-REDES is the Western (Western) Demonstrator Lead and Technical Coordinator of the project, Deliverable 9.1 "Specifications and guidelines for Western Demos" was published as part of the "Western Cluster Demonstrator" (WP9) work package.

As a result, while creating a network of Europe, the project aims to build a customer-centric approach to network operation.

As technical coordinator he has several responsibilities within OneNet, namely making sure that the technical objectives of the project are met by monitoring the project methodology and ensuring the high quality of the results against state-of-the-art standards by chairing the quality assessment group.

Innovation is one of the pillars of the project, in which an integrated and interoperable architecture will be developed, thus having a strong component of adaptation to the new challenges of the sector in terms of data use and sharing, which must be aligned with best practices and the state of the art.

The Western Demonstrator (WP9) is taking place in three different countries - Portugal, Spain, France - and allows the implementation of flexible mechanisms to meet the needs of both DSO and TSO, with a relevant focus on coordination between the parties.

Among the main objectives to be achieved, the articulation between flexibility markets and system operation is also a relevant priority.

The work now published in the scope of WP9 (Deliverable 9.1 "Specifications and guidelines for Western Demos" ) counted with the collaboration of the European Policy and Projects, System Operation and Management and Asset Management and Network Planning Directorates.

The Deliverable introduces the Portuguese (which we also lead), Spanish and French demos and presents the Use Cases for each of them, as well as a Regional Use Case that counts with the participation of partners from all Western Cluster countries.
