E-REDES is carrying out an investment in underground Medium Voltage (MV) lines in Fafe, worth approximately 500 thousand euros.
The overall project consists of the installation of about 4 kilometres of underground line, the dismantling of approximately 4 kilometres of overhead line and more than 15 new medium voltage supports, in a densely urbanized area.
The first underground section has already been put into operation, and a transformer station has also been remodelled, allowing it to be placed in an underground ring network, enabling it to improve network management.
These interventions have been closely monitored by the Municipality of Fafe and interaction with various external entities to the Company, favouring a close relationship between all for the proper execution of the work, given the complexity and demands of the interventions.
Until the end of the year, eight more interventions will take place, which will contribute to a significant improvement in the quality of service in the area resulting from the commitment that the company assumed with the Municipality of Fafe.
