Ricardo Messias, director of Vegetation Management at E-REDES, will participate as a speaker in the 20th digital session of the Xperience 4.0 initiative, promoted by COTEC, on December 6, starting at 15h30.
Under the theme "operating in harmony with nature: monitoring the environmental envelope of electricity grids", this session will focus on E-REDES' technological innovation and how the company moved from a process of reactive monitoring of the safety distances of electricity grids against vegetation to predictive monitoring, through technological experimentation with Albatroz Engineering.
"Companies collect a lot of data in their day-to-day operations, which is not transformed into useful information. Recent developments in machine learning allow leveraging the collected data, which until today was just stored bits. The search to solve current problems with data stored in the past has serious potential, presenting this investment a considerable benefit/cost", said Ricardo Messias.
