Finding new solutions for intelligent energy networks, ranging from the creation of strategic development plans for innovative infrastructure and network architecture to the provision of specific functionalities, is the aim of the challenge launched by EDP Distribuição under the Aveiro Urban Challenges.
Promoted by the municipality of Aveiro, this programme aimed at startups, scaleups and Research and Development (R&D) institutions aims to promote and boost the creation of innovative ideas and projects that respond to urban challenges launched by companies in the energy, water and transport sectors. Topics such as intelligent energy networks, the optimisation of vehicle allocation according to ecological footprint and operational cost criteria, or the creation of technological tools to support supply and demand in circular economy will be developed by the participating teams.
