The Municipalities most affected at this time are: Amarante, Guimarães, Melgaço, Lousã and Cinfães. The situation described is evolutionary, being currently more concentrated in the northern area, but progressively moving south.

The damage to the distribution network is very significant, with 125 high and medium voltage (HV/MV) lines affected.

The company guarantees the reinforcement of the operational teams according to the increased gravity of the situation, in order to restore energy as quickly as possible. Taking advantage of its national presence, EDP Distribuição has been mobilising teams from various parts of the country for the most affected sites and using existing human resources at the different voltage levels.
