The donation was attended by the president of EDP Distribuição, João Torres, as well as the mayor of Tondela, José António Jesus, the President of the Tondela Voluntary Firefighters Humanitarian Association, António Jordão Mano, and the Commander of the Corporation, Nuno Pereira and the entire Fire Department.
The fire brigade received a vehicle with a lifting platform, used but in perfect condition, like all the other vehicles, which will allow this Active Corps to perform some interventions at height.
The Tondela Volunteer Fire Department officials took advantage of the moment of the ceremony to celebrate the commemoration of its 96th. anniversary, an ephemeral part of the Municipal Holiday ceremonies, to express its deep appreciation, inviting EDP Distribuição to attend the blessing ceremony of the car.
EDP Distribuição was represented by Edite Carvalho Silva of the Rede e Clientes Mondego Diretion.
The President of the Humanitarian Association of Tondela and the Commander of the Corporation reiterated the deep gratitude of the Corporation, the same feeling already expressed to João Torres, when the vehicle was formally handed over and that at the time greatly praised the Peacekeepers' willingness to defend of people and goods, sometimes endangering one's life.
