EDP Distribuição is associated to the fifth edition of the International Forum of Intelligent Communities - FICIS 2019, which will take place from April 2-4 at the D. Diogo de Sousa Museum in Braga.
FICIS is an event that brings together experts, companies, research institutes, universities, organizations and local authorities, and aims to reinforce the notoriety of cities and their affirmation as poles of attraction based on innovation for the well-being and for the happiness of communities.
Under the motto "Cidades do Futuro", the event aims to be a forum for discussion and sharing of intelligent and sustainable practices in the view of the presidents of nine Portuguese municipalities (Vila Nova de Famalicão, Barcelos, Guimarães, Ponte de Lima, Viana do Castelo, Valença, Boticas, Chaves and Montalegre).
The initiative will also present new ideas and projects capable of transforming cities into smart cities, thematic sessions dedicated to areas such as sustainability and the environment, technology and innovation, urban regeneration, energy, mobility, among others.
In this sense, EDP Distribuição will give a presentation on April 4 that will illustrate the work developed, the European projects where it participates and the vision that it has on the theme of smart cities.
