The EU-SysFlex renewable energy project, of which EDP Distribuição is a member, celebrated its first anniversary. The date was marked with a General Assembly in Lisbon. The event was attended by delegates from a number of European countries.
The EU-SysFlex aims to identify related issues and solutions that will enable the large-scale integration of electricity from renewable sources, to ensure the electrical system remains highly reliable and robust. This should lead to the identification of a long-term road map to facilitate the large-scale integration of renewable energy across Europe.
João Torres, chairman of the EDP Distribuição Board of Directors, attended this assembly held to mark the anniversary of the project’s launch.
The project consortium has 34 partners, including EDP Distribuição, EDP Produção, EDP Renováveis, NEW-CNET and UNGE.
