Sharing Lisboa

Sharing Lisbon, a pilot experiment at the European level that involves EDP Distribuição and which aims to promote more environmentally sustainable behavior, was launched.

The project is a Digital Social Market, in which goods and services are exchanged via the Sharing Lisbon app that unites people into a common cause, in this case rewarding the attempt to increase energy efficiency at a school. The app will monitor sustainable behavior, such as walking, cycling or using local stores, all of which will be turned into points for the three schools involved.

The schools, 2.3 Olaias, 2.3 Nuno Gonçalves and 2.3 Manuel da Maia, will compete to discover which one promotes more sustainable and environmentally friendly behavior. To achieve this, they should engage in sustainable behavior that will improve the school's energy efficiency and which will be turned into points and, simultaneously, call on the local community for its support by registering with the App and actively contributing to scoring points.

Sharing Lisbon has been developed within the framework of the EU-funded Sharing Cities Program, which unites local authorities, citizens and businesses in Lisbon, London and Milan, and aims to share integrated energy solutions to make the smart city concept a reality.

In Lisbon, the Sharing Cities program involves a consortium that includes EDP Distribuição, Lisbon City Council, Lisboa E-Nova, Higher Technical Institute (IST), Reabilita, CEiiA, Altice Labs and EMEL.
