Repairs to the medium and high voltage grid are progressing positively, with just 38 lines currently out of service. Where repairs are expected to take longer, the company has installed 100 generators, including 18 provided by the Army and Air Force, and two mobile power stations.
EDP Distribuição estimates that power will be completely restored by the end of this week.
In the Coimbra local authority area, contact points staffed by EDP Distribuição engineers have been set up in offices made available by the local authorities.
