EDP Distribuição mobilizes hundreds of field teams to repair faults caused by the recent adverse weather conditions

Storm Leslie, which is passing over the country this evening, is already responsible for causing a number of faults in the electricity distribution grid.

To address this exceptional situation, EDP Distribuição has had its teams on alert since 6pm today.

At the moment, hundreds of operations are underway in very adverse weather conditions, in an attempt to restore power to the affected areas. The areas most affected are Marinha Grande, Pombal and Leiria.

Storm Leslie is progressing, and EDP Distribuição is maintaining its active operating device to offer more support in critical areas.

The company is in close contact with local and national civil protection agencies, and remains in permanent contact with the IPMA to receive up-to-date weather information.
