EDP Distribuição in the European Utility Week

EDP ​​Distribuição participates annually in the European Utility Week (EUW). This year with a new addition: in addition to being present with a delegation, EDP Distribuição's first stand was inaugurated at this prestigious conference, in the Portuguese Pavilion. The conference was held on 3, 4 and 5 October in Amsterdam.

It was attended by João Torres - chairman of EDP Distribuição, who spoke at the opening session of the EUW with the presentation - Portugal: the local market from a Utility's point of view. The presence of EDP Distribuição in the EUW allowed it to share projects in the Smart Grids area, especially the Inovgrid project, and to display the technologies and equipment used.

This first stand welcomed visitors from various companies, ranging from peer companies (France, Czech Republic, Iran), smart meters manufacturers, electric cable manufacturers interested in the Inovgrid project rollout, communication technologies, equipment used and the challenges of smart cities.

The exchange and contacts were important for the strengthening and recognition that EDP Distribuição is on the right track for innovation and that it needs to continue to interact with the various stakeholders in the construction of the distribution grid of the future.
