European Technology & Innovation Platforms (ETIPs) have been created by the European Commission under the framework of the new Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SNET, Smart Networks for Energy Transition) by bringing together a multitude of stakeholders and experts from the energy sector.
The role of ETIP SNET is to guide Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I) to support Europe’s energy transition. As part of this mission, ETIP SNET organises 4 Regional Workshops per year over the course of 4 years, covering the whole European Union.
The Western Region Workshop 2017 happens in Lisbon on 28 and 29 September, at EDP’s headquarters. EDP Distribuição is the host of an event dedicated to the presentation of the results and findings of mature national and regional R&D projects, highlighting the successes and challenges and promoting discussion, exchange of experience and best practices and identification of existing barriers.
