Pedrogão, Figueiró dos Vinhos, Lousã and Sertã, we have been in the locations of the fires from the start, working closely and in liaison with the Civil Protection Authority, looking to make any possible interventions.
Our teams are on-site, mobilised to act as soon as possible and according to the orders of the fire services, although with difficulty to transport our personnel safely, in order to manoeuvre the grid facilities. We have moved 14 generators to the area and we have already connected 5 to restore service in some locations and we are giving priority to critical facilities such as water supply and telecommunication antennas.
We will connect the remaining generators as soon as the roads are clear. We have 100 operational staff in the field, in the coordination centres in Coimbra / Leiria and the Grid Steering Centre in Porto, supported by 21 vehicles. We are focusing on the rotation of the teams to ensure continuity of work. We estimate that about 30 km of low voltage grid will have to be rebuilt.
We have always been in contact with the local councillors, in addition to the permanent representatives at the National Civil Protection Authority in Carbazide, the Regional Command and Relief Command in Leiria and the Operations Office in Pedrogão Grande.
