There was damage to the distribution grid, in particular 50 broken poles leading to the fall of power lines. EDP Distribuição reinforced its operational staff, with around 500 employees in the field, supported by 200 vehicles and 12 emergency generators. Thanks to the work of these teams, it was possible to conclude by the end of this morning the repairs of all the faults in the medium voltage grid that occurred during the night.
Faced with forecasts of worsening weather conditions from late afternoon onwards, EDP Distribuição maintains the state of alert for the operational teams on the ground, its articulation with local and national civil protection structures and a permanent link to the IPMA weather agency to guarantee updated information.
