EDP Distribuição was the winner in the categories for which it had been nominated: "Architecture - Best Private Project" and "Real Estate - Best Office Building" for the EDP Distribuição property in Andrinos, Leiria, which was designed by the architecture studio "Regino Cruz Arquitectos".
It is a modern building, located on the outskirts of Leiria (Andrinos), set in a green area in which pine groves dominate, and it houses all the company's employees in the city from the administrative and commercial areas, the Operational Area, Medical Post and Staff Club.
"The celebration of the symbiotic relationship between Natural Energy and Man" in the words of Regino Cruz, the architect who accepted EDP Distribuição’s challenge to design an administrative headquarters for the company, in Leiria.
The result was the transformation of the industrial surroundings into a pleasant landscape, functional and contextualised in the green area that surrounds it. A winning combination at all levels.
