Integrid is the new European project coordinated by EDP Distribuição

The European consortium InteGrid, coordinated by EDP Distribuição, and now approved by the European Commission, under the Horizon2020 European programme, has a budget of 15 million euros and a duration of 42 months.

This project has 14 partners from eight European countries and it aims to develop and demonstrate in a real environment, in Portugal, Sweden and Slovenia, innovative and competitive solutions on a global scale involving citizens, communities and companies, served by distribution grids with the strong penetration of renewable energies.

The partners involved cover the entire value chain, with distribution grid operators, retailers, ICT companies, manufacturers, customers, start ups and R&D institutions, in collaboration with relevant bodies at national and European Union level. In Portugal, the associated partners include EDP Distribuição, CNET, INESC Porto, Águas de Portugal and SAP.

InteGrid plans to collaborate with initiatives, international organisations and projects related to smart grids in order to leverage results, share best practices and knowledge, enhancing participation in relevant projects such as Grid+ and Grid+Storage.

The countries involved are: Portugal, Germany, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, Austria, Slovenia and the United Kingdom.
