E-REDES has installed a new transformer substation (PTD) in the parish of Montaria in the municipality of Viana do Castelo. The infrastructures with a combined power of 250 kVA and medium voltage (MV) branches 200 metres long, which are already in operation, were inaugurated on 10 January in the presence of Francisco Campilho, Miguel Pinto, Paulo Louzinha, representatives of E-REDES, Luis Nobre, Mayor of Viana do Castelo and Carlos Manuel Pires, chairman of the Montaria council.
The low-voltage (LV) network in the area was reinforced over an approximate length of 300 metres, resulting in better network management. The works, which represented an investment of around 52,000 euros, will reinforce the quality of service in the area, provide the network with greater capacity and resilience and guarantee the availability of power to meet new electricity demands for the areas in question.
For E-REDES, this work, carried out in close collaboration with the municipality of Viana do Castelo, is part of its policy of optimizing quality of service and energy efficiency, the result of the company's commitment to the municipality.
