The awards ceremony for the 9th edition of the Portugal Digital Awards took place on 27 November at the Estoril Casino at 20h25. With more than 340 applications and 47 finalist projects, these awards recognise the best in digital in Portugal. This initiative featured innovative projects from all market sectors that were assessed by an independent panel of judges.
FIRMe won Best Digital Ecosystem Project and InfoAssets won Best Future of Intelligence Project. E-REDES is fully committed to the energy transition, promoting projects that foster the integration of renewable energy, empower consumers to play a more central role and facilitate new business models.
For the first time in Portugal, FIRMe - Flexibilidade Integrada em Regime de Mercado (Integrated Flexibility in a Market Regime) allows various market agents to provide services to the distribution network, adjusting their energy consumption and production according to the needs of the network. In constrained situations, users who show willingness and interest are given specific instructions to help solve problems and are paid for their participation.
InfoAssets is a pilot project, carried out in partnership with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), which used street view and satellite images, combined with artificial intelligence, to improve the management of the electricity network. This pilot project resulted in an interactive digital map that streamlines management strategies, optimises operations, speeds up connection times and facilitates decision-making. This innovative solution will now be expanded to the entire network, ensuring greater efficiency and reliability in electricity distribution.
