Customers with special needs

Which customers are included in this classification?

  • Clients with visual impairments – total blindness or hypovision. (*)
  • Clients with hearing impairments – total deafness or hypoacusis. (**)
  • Clients with limited oral communication skills.

How do I register?

The Customer must submit an application via their supplier.

Priority customers

Which customers are included in this classification?

  • Hospital establishments, health centres or entities that provide similar services.
  • Security forces.
  • National security installations.
  • Fire Brigade.
  • Civil protection.
  • Equipment dedicated to maritime or air traffic safety and management.
  • Prison facilities.
  • Customers for whom survival or mobility depends on equipment whose operation is ensured by the electricity network, and customers who live with people in these conditions, within the scope of the electricity sector.

How do I register?

The Customer must submit an application via their supplier.

The Distribution Network Operator must inform Customers individually, directly or through their respective suppliers, of supply interruptions that are subject to prior notice.

Without prejudice to the rights enshrined, these Customers must take precautionary measures appropriate to their situation, particularly with regard to backup or emergency power systems.

RQS procedure for identifying priority customers

The document published below defines the procedure for liaising with administrative bodies, provided for in article 127 of the Quality of Service Regulation (RQS), in the context of updating the register of priority customer installations.
