E-REDES has installed a new transformer substation (PTD) in the parish of Serzedelo in the municipality of Guimarães.
The infrastructures with a power of 250 kVA and medium voltage (MV) branches 350 metres long, which are already in operation, were inaugurated on 16 September in the presence of Francisco Campilho, Miguel Pinto, Nuno Sila and Tiago Oliveira as representatives of E-REDES, Domingos Bragança, Mayor of Guimarães, Sofia Ferreira, Councillor of Guimarães City Council and Cristiano Ferreira, chairman of the Serzedelo council.
The low voltage (LV) network in the areas was reinforced over an approximate length of 200 metres, resulting in better network management.
The works, which represented an investment of around 140,000 euros, will reinforce the quality of service in the area, provide the network with greater capacity and resilience, and guarantee the availability of power to satisfy new electricity requests for the areas in question.
For E-REDES, this work, carried out in close collaboration with the municipality of Guimarães, is part of its policy of optimising quality of service and energy efficiency, the result of the company's commitment to the municipality.
